Blue Goldstone Point
Goldstone is a manmade stone created in Venice, Italy in the 17th century by the Miotti family. It is sometimes called monk-stone from folkloric associations with an unnamed monastic order. Blue goldstone is made from quartz sand and cobalt or manganese, combined with copper dust. The result is a deep, midnight blue, glassy stone with bright metallic flecks that twinkle like the night sky. It is an excellent stone to represent the cosmos on your altar or in your meditations.
