Optical Calcite Cube

Place optical calcite on a printed page, and you may see the words appear to be doubled. This is because its special crystalline structure splits the light in two, a phenomenon called double refraction. Sometimes called “the stone of the mind,” optical calcite helps us to shift our perspective and change old thought patterns. It can also be used to amplify energy and send intention over long distances.

You will receive an optical calcite specimen in the size of your choice similar to the ones pictured. Each specimen is a natural product of the earth and will be unique in size, shape, and clarity. 30g specimens are about 1 1/4 inches long, 10g specimens average 3/4 of an inch.
